The word ‘Ikat’ means ‘to bind’. It is an ancient Indonesian decorative technique used as a way of creating designs in fabric by dying the threads before the fabric is woven.

Traditional ikat cottons were often dyed with patterns that represented village life and the beliefs of people. When the dyed areas meet carefully controlled amounts of color merge with one another, creating the signature subtle slightly blurred patterns. This dyeing technique ensures that each print is unique.

Cushion covers are 50% silk, 50% cotton. Cushion comes filled.
